We have been making FobKeyrings for over 15 years now. We have the website, emails and our social media channels for providing information, h owever we often get asked the same questions so we have compiled them below to answer any questions you may have regarding FobKeyrings and the ordering process.

Are the fobs printed double sided?

Yes, they are printed on both sides as standard, in full colour. You can even have two completely different designs on each side.

What size are the fobs?

The fobs measure 54mm x 32mm and they are 1.1mm thick.

Can the fobs be written on?

Yes, we can leave a gap for the information to be written. If you have a design that has space to be written on you can use a permanent pen but we will provide a free permanent pen with your order, if your design requires one.

What price are they?

All our prices are on our website, we try to be as simple with our pricing. The main prices are listed below:

What do I need to send you for artwork?

Please send us an email with the information you require on the fobs, eg, phone numbers, email addresses, websites, social media or services or products you want to promote. Also attach any logos or photos you want included on the fobs - we don’t mind what format these are in due to the fobs being small and we can often work with smaller files however typical files include jpegs, pngs, pdfs, and eps.

Can I create my own artwork?

Yes, that's fine but please contact us first as we have some templates that we can email to you to assist you. Always take into consideration the edges and the holes that appear on each side. We also have guidelines on font size and solid colours.

How long is delivery?

We aim to produce artwork within a 24-48 hour window, then once artwork agreed and payment is made we aim to dispatch your fobs between 7-10 working days. Smaller orders can often be produced quicker than this. If you need your fobs by a certain date, please get in touch first and we will see what workload we currently have.

Do the fobs come with the metal rings ?

We have the rings as an option, as people don’t always require them. I f you do need them we offer 19mm or 25mm rings. A sample of each is included in the sample pack so that you can see what suits your circumstances the best.

Rings are supplied separately (not attached to the fobs) in two sizes (19mm & 25mm).

Printing QR codes on Keyrings . . .

Covid turned our world upside down and it changed how we live. One positive tiny thing to emerge from our new way of living however was that the main stream public all learnt what a QR code is. Everyone began using their smartphones (using often just the camera app) to scan into venues, view menus in restaurants, find out information etc.

This technology had been around for a good few years, but had never really been put to good use before however, now people knew what they were and how to use QR codes and were using them everyday.

We have also seen an increase in the amount of companies using them on their FobKeyrings.

A QR code can link to many different elements of your business.

A QR code can link to a website, or even a specific page on a website. A QR code can even go to social media pages, like Instagram and Facebook, making it easier for your customers to follow you and stay up to date.

If you require a QR code on your FobKeyring they are free to implement, and all you need to do is just supply us with the link you require the QR code to go to, if you don’t already have your own QR artwork, and we will create one.

Above, are a few examples of FobKeyrings with QR codes on, to give you an idea of what is possible.

Our design hints: keep the fob design simple and keep the QR code as big as possible as it will be easier to scan.

There are also additional ways that QR codes can be used - they can store your contact details and upload them onto your customers phones or they can link to a link tree so multiple websites and social pages can be used off the same QR code. To use these more advanced QR codes a monthly fee is often required.

3 things to consider before establishing a keyring budget.

In a lot of other design and print businesses, the price you see isn’t always the price you pay and we don’t like this.

At Fob Keyrings we try to keep our prices as simple and straightforward as possible to understand.

Please be aware that when looking at getting promotional products printed with other businesses there are a lot of terms that tend to not say it, but mostly always mean extra money.

Artwork charges - this can be charged per design, plus sometimes additional charges when changes are made.

- All our artwork is free of charge, including all changes.

Set up fee / Origination charge - some companies charge a set up fee. This is to cover costs like plates being made and files created.

-We don’t charge a set up fee, whether you are a brand new customer or a returning one.

1 or 4 colour charge - this refers to the number of inks that are used. A one colour job is one colour, where as a full colour job (this is made up of 4 colour - cyan, magenta, yellow and black) means you could be charged for all 4 colours. Sometimes the price quoted is for a one colour job, when really you need a full colour print and therefore the costs can quickly add up.

We print digitally so all our prints are full colour - again these charges don’t apply.
